Insights from SocialWest 2024: Journey to Excellent Communication and Service

 

Our Greatway Marketing & Events team are excited to put all the learnings together to help service our agents, members, clients, and the rest of Canada.

At Greatway Financial, one of our core values is innovation, not only in the financial literacy that we teach our agents which they provide to Canadians but also in how we connect, communicate, and engage with our community. Recently, our Marketing & Events team attended SocialWest 2024, the largest digital marketing conference in Canada, held in the heart of Calgary. This initiative underscores a pivotal step in our ongoing journey to enhance our digital marketing and refine our engagement strategies, ensuring we remain at the forefront of innovation and service.

 

Embracing Innovation and Collaboration

The conference offered a rich variety of sessions and workshops, each designed to either confirm trends or challenge the common knowledge and inspire new ways of thinking. From pioneering social media tactics to the forefront of content creation, and from the traditional SMS marketing to the new world of AI, our team immersed themselves in the learning opportunities provided, engaging directly with thought leaders and peers alike. This collaborative spirit not only enriched our understanding but also solidified our commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collective growth not only within the team, but with other departments and with our agents.

There were a lot of ideas and concepts that were shared and absorbed by our Marketing & Events team. Here are some of what they have to say about the event and other realizations they have for Greatway and our current state of marketing:

My biggest takeaway from SocialWest 2024 is the critical importance of staying up to date with emerging trends and being receptive to innovative ideas and resources in the industry,” said Jireh Quines, Marketing Coordinator, “Understanding the distinction between perceived value and actual value is also crucial; it allows us to identify our audience's real needs and adapt swiftly to changes.

The Marketing & Events team concluded that Greatway is making progress in the right direction in terms of digital marketing and marketing as a whole. However, there are still areas for growth and improvement to ensure we achieve a strong, competitive position in the insurance and financial services industry.
